Williams and Elfman have just swooped in at the end and shown everyone up as far as I’m concerned. Real Steel was everything that most blockbuster scores this year lacked.
ddddeeeeParticipantBudget is $215M, I believe that’s the biggest ever for an Elfman film.
ddddeeeeParticipantExcellent. This is ended up being quite the fall for Elfman fans and next year looks really promising too. Now if we could just get a Restless release.
ddddeeeeParticipantHas he already wrote for The Hunger Games then?

I’m a big fan of the books and cannot wait for this.
ddddeeeeParticipantFirst look.

ddddeeeeParticipantJust saw it. Best movie Elfman has scored since Milk. Lots of fun. The cue for the last fight was fantastic, made me want to punch the air.

ddddeeeeParticipantAmazon says there’s an album out October 4th.
ddddeeeeParticipantElfman has already started work on the movie, it’s not a musical and we’re getting our first look in October.

ddddeeeeParticipantddddeeeeParticipantLionsgate made the official announcement today.
Quote:Elfman and Burnett will be collaborating on the film score, with Burnett also serving as the film’s Executive Music Producer, producing songs for the film and soundtrack.ddddeeeeParticipantddddeeeeParticipantHunger Games? Interesting. If he does that I’d love to see his schedule, with two blockbusters coming two months after.
And making up with Raimi is the best news I’ve heard in ages. Is there any more of this event? Do you have a link to that post?
EDIT: Nevermind, got it.
ddddeeeeParticipantI thought it was awful, really poor. Worst X-Men score by far.
So far this year I’ve really liked La Ligne Droite, Priest and Thor.
ddddeeeeParticipantBut that’s the whole point of the trailer, to judge it.
Anyway, the poster only credits Danny. Maybe he is scoring the whole thing afterall?
ddddeeeeParticipantUm, wasn’t the problem that Raimi loved what Elfman did so much that he didn’t want anything else for a lot of it?
ddddeeeeParticipantWell at least we know why he couldn’t do Abraham Lincon: Vampire Hunter.
