I don’t know about the international versions, but the NA (US & CANADA) Blu-ray/DVD combo includes the music featurette, while the DVD-only does not. ALICE is precisely why I upgraded to Blu-ray about a month ago
I’ll never hear Horner’s AVATAR the same after hearing Karl Kenkins’s “Adiemus”. It’s obvious where Horner not only a) stole the theme for MIGHTY JOE YOUNG from, but also b) the vocal stylings for AVATAR.

??? Why would they reuse Danny’s music? A composer will be hired to score this just like any other movie…
Bookbinder, I don’t think anyone here can give you a good reason why the titles aren’t on the CD because no one here was involved with the production of the album…!
I think opening the album with “Alice’s Theme” was a strong statement. It bookends nicely with the final reprise. Slotting in the main titles after “Alice’s Theme” would seem redundant. The titles are more magical in the film than separated anyways.
Might be a first — Carter Burwell could return to TWILIGHT after scoring the first and skipping 2, 3!

I don’t think either one of those magazines is interested in interviewing anyone who isn’t a) a rock dinosaur or b) of-the-moment “artist”. He has done many longish interviews with Film Score Monthly, all of which are available in the member section (for a fee) of their website. http://www.filmscoremonthly.com/backissues/issues.cfm
I’ll never understand why this score was so reviled at the time. I think it’s brilliant from start to finish.
I think it’s likely Danny will return. It’s been 8 years since the last one, which means plenty of time for ideas to percolate and perhaps interest him in returning to that great theme.
It used to be on my Elfman profile (which is probably where you saw it) but YouTube deleted my account (and there went the Elfman vids). I suppose i should have posted endless anime videos and they’d have left me alone.
It was definitely an original piece. Perhaps when the score gets it’s release later this Spring, it’ll be included.
