EDIT : I just realized it was selling today ! I took my seats. I can’t wait.

I’ll probably meet up with fellow french elfmaners on Monday, we could organize a meet up ! ;-)

If you would have just posted the link once, I think we could have lived with that and even check your page…but flooding the boards means that :
    1. all your posts will get deleted
    2. no one here will check your page
    3. I don’t think you care anyway.

In case anyone wonders what was the title of that black & white film where De Niro plays a boxer, Goof Track is an excellent reminder.

I don’t get all the hate behind the mp3 format beside its quality (that I agree with). Ok, in this case, the score could have been added to the songs CD but in other cases, it will allow us to get scores officially that would have never been released on CD. And digital music is just the way its gonna be…

Yeah pretty sure it’s going to be a narrative main titles like in Big Fish : works very well in the film, on CD not so much…

Is there a way to buy it digitally in Europe, without going through iTunes (that I hate) or Amazon (where my country is not yet eligible for mp3 downloads) ?

Still not there for me…but I guess it’s not released on the 25th in my country.

Don’t see how Elfman couldn’t get an Oscar nomination (possibly two ?) this year…

I doubt it. That film has been completed for a while now. I like that they don’t oversell it, I’m tired of excessive exposure…
IMDB states that it will premier tomorrow in Texas, for what it’s worth.

Well, it’s nice of them to show the scene we’ve been seeing in the trailer, so no real spoilers.
It does sound very nice but really hard to judge based on a 1 minute clip. I do feel there’s a theme…

Corteo has been on tour for 7 years now. Iris won’t tour at all but I’m sure it will stick around for a while…such a big production needs at least 3 years to be profitable (and quite profitable if you’re the Cirque du Soleil).

It’s gonna be a very busy winter for him. I think that Frankenweenie is completed, right ? That leaves Promised Land, Hitchcock & Oz in about 5 months time and Epic later. If one of these projects has a schedule issue, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him drop one of them.

Edit : And what about “Silver Linings Playbook” ? That’s set to be released in February..so unless it’s a very minimal contribution, it’s gonna tough to pack all those projects in such a little amount of time.

I would guess Bruce Cohen may have brought Elfman’s name up too…
We’ll see but it’s nice to see Elfman staying in touch with more ‘independent’ projects as well.
