Danny – the font is “Futura Light” from the “Futura” font family and is usually included with Macs and sometimes PCs. There is a free fixed-width variation out there and I believe it’s called “Futurist”, if you don’t want to shell out for “Futura”.

FYI – if that was posted on this board than they were probably referring to the cues that Elfman wrote — “Doc Ock Is Born” and “Train / Appreciation” — that are actually on Elfman’s score CD.

The songs and dialogue in animated films are always recorded first. The animators do their work, the film is edited, effects added and the score is written and recorded.

Thanks, Nuno. I recall someone saying that the song reminded them of Boingo (sometimes an overused statement) and I guess this confirms that as fact!

You know I’m actually excited that Elfman is doing a big, serious thriller / adult-drama. He gets stuck in the fantasy/whimsy genre sometimes and then scores one of these. I’m looking forward to the film too (I liked THE RUNDOWN, sue me!)

I don’t understand who you think they’re making these movies for. They’re for kids. Animated movies have frequently been grating, insipid, overloud and obnoxious. Pixar is not immune from this. MONSTERS INC. is one of the most annoying films I’ve ever seen. I’m not beating a drum for ROBINSONS, but let’s try something traditional and at least let the movie open first before fileting it.
