I’ve been lucky enough to have this score since last Spring, and let me tell you, it grows on you and gets better every day. It’s totally cute, lovely and a pleasure. I love the rural elements mixed with the sentimentality of BLACK BEAUTY. I believe it’s Elfman’s richest, most emotionally pure score in some time. While I’ve loved everything he’s done, CHARLOTTE’S is for me satisfying and touching.

Thanks, yes, it took awhile – a bit of a combination of the amount of work and the limited time I had to do it. Which is why it was eeked out over several years! I still have lots to do, including fixing this window where you type a new msg. Wrong font!

I don’t expect anyone will confirm anything for me at this point seeing as the movie is 6 months away. There’s no reason to get anxious yet.

Not to contradict Thor, but I think this is more in BIG FISH, BLACK BEAUTY territory. There’s a strong rural music element in CHARLOTTE’S for fiddle and percussion that you won’t hear in EDWARD!

The finale/end title, “Wilbur’s Homecoming” is gorgeous. That’s the score’s main theme that opens the sample.

I thought you’d probably have to log into the U.S. iTunes store to see the playlist, but shockingly there’s also an entry in the Canadian store.
