Why are you even piss off?
D. Elfman wasn’t even nominated, and yes GUstavo Santaolalla music is great, and yes i’m a huge fan of Danny Elfman
Eric Clapton has been involved in some scores as well, i can only remember the Lethl Weapon Series, a movie with Mickey Rourke and Christopher Walken, and the directorial debut of Gary Oldman a brittish movie called “Nil by Mouth”
Obviously i think many people (including me) were waiting something outreagous from Zimmer and Howard, but i’ve always touhgt that the composer must have something of the character or the movie within himself….having say that.
That’s why i think Elfman and Goldenthal’s scores for Batman were politically correct…
But hey! that’s just myu humble opinion….
Are you sure this is the music from th emovie itself?
ANd not some blend of previous music from another ZImmer or Howard score?
I guess you’re (besides me) the only one here that think Poledouris it’s a great composer.
I didn’t know that Poledouris has ceased composing for film anymore….
Sad.
Graeme Revell and Marco Beltrami “Doesn’t” belong to the “super hero-genre” in the way that their work for that movies in particular are not the classic sound for that movies.
And just to clarify, Spawn, The Crow, Sin CIty, Tank-girl are not super-heroes movies…. they’re based on Graphic Novels and other stuff like that, but are very far from being a super-hero movie. That’s for Revell.
ANd for Beltrami, just 2 entrys in that genre doesn’t make him belong to it.
