It is indeed one of his best work to date. 2011 was very light in terms of Elfman scores but this one is surely worth two or three scores all together !

I like the fact that the board offers a clean look compared to some bloated php boards…but could we get a setup were we don’t have to click to read every single post ?

We’ll see but I can’t say I’m excited…I hope for another Wanted surprise…Yet, I heard that too. Don’t forget that Batman Returns was the first Dolby Digital film and I guess it needed to “sound great” which sometimes just end up to “sound loud”.
Hmmm….the point of the boxset was to offer “film versions” of cues that were never released or sounded different on the album. So yeah, that’s normal…
Yeah but there is also that rumour that say that he didn’t want to score Ed Wood ’cause Burton was asking him to compose something really close to the sound of Ed Wood’s films…which is what Shore did at the end of the journey.
I think that all in all, it’s a mix of all these things. That, plus the fact that after working almost 15 years with the same person, you may need a break in order to get a new start…
