Actually “Back To School” came out on June 13th 1986 in the US.

Terminator Salvation was truly awful, imo.

I knew TJ Lindgren was credited for additional arrangements on Oz however I did not know the score had any additional music b/c nobody received any credit for it during the closing credits or in the liner notes of the soundtrack album. Did Mounsey assist Elfman on those Epic and Oz cues or just wrote ’em himself? I agree I wish it was made more clear who wrote what under these circumstances.

Clive Barker’s Nightbreed came out in February of that same year. And Walker wrote a cue for that film. Elfman was touring then too? And that’s the first I’ve heard about Dick Tracy having additional music. You have any proof the music from that trailer above was written by Walker instead of Elfman?.

Well Elfman found time to write music for one of the “Edward Scissorhands” trailers, which was included on the Intrada expanded reissue album.

Yes the liner notes of the Varese Sarabande album of Real Steel credits TJ Lindgren’s assistance on three cues “Atom Vs Twin Cities”, “Twin Cities’ Intro”, and “This Is A Brawl”.

Yeah it’s frustrating as an Elfman fan. Especially when even his small films have additional composers. It’s probably why some of his more recent scores are lacking that Elfman touch. And I thought Oz didn’t have any additional composers.

Didn’t Elfman write 25 minutes of score? So all of it should fit.

Pity it isn’t complete and chronological. Really was hoping some label would reissue an expanded re-mastered cd version of “Nightbreed“. Who knows maybe some day.

Yeah the mixing of the score in the movie was poor. Oh well.. Thanks anyway.

Does anyone know the chronological film order of the album?

Haven’t seen/heard the film/score yet but it seems like a waste of Elfman’s talents if you ask me.

I think the score will be the least of Terminator Genisys problems.

I’m still holding out hope that one of the labels are releasing a pressed cd of Elfman’s score only in the near future .

Nice catch! The movie turns 25 this year. So hopefully it’ll be coming out this holiday season.

Yeah Young will most likely be scoring Dr. Strange unfortunately.

It’d be nice if it’s a different Marvel character/franchise. Dr. Strange is right up Elfman’s alley.

Wow! Just when I thought I couldn’t get anymore excited for this movie. Wonder if this means more MCU scores from Elfman? Somewhat ironic that Elfman’s writing additional music for Avengers 2 instead of the upcoming Fantastic 4 reboot since one of his idols (Phillip Glass) is involved in that one.

Wow! I didn’t expect to be in the minority (on this forum at least) who liked The Next Three Days. Underrated score and movie, imo.

To be fair Elfman’s mono-thematic Silver Linings Playbook was repetitive with the main/love theme, but that didn’t take away from my enjoyment of that score.

Even though I joined this site in the spring of 2007. I used to lurk here before finally joining. And this was a nice trip down memory lane with all the hysteria going on about the score, which were sentiments I also felt about the whole situation.
