They were on the Corpse Bride music page before they recorded it with an orchestra. I don’t know if you can find them now.

“I alread have the DVD! Does that mean in order to get it signed i have to buy another DVD?”

DUDE, it’s a small price to pay to get that damn close to God himself! I think you can handle it!

He samples his own stuff (percussion, I’m sure of), and he probably has all the great sample libraries out there. I know he’s got the East West Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra library, and he’s probably got the Vienna Symphonic Library also. I wonder why, with all these great toys at his disposal, his mockups for Corpse Bride sound like he used outdated soundfonts … maybe because they’re easier to use? I don’t know. I’ve noticed the sound libraries these days have become really bloated (the new Vienna is over 660 GIGS of samples!!!)

Actually, you should rephrase that to everything ever released. I’m posotive he’s got way more stuff packed away than he’s got released.

Speaking of which, the score for King Kong is f*cking amazing considering the time constraint on James Newton Howard. I don’t know why everyone was dissing it on here. It’s got a very distinct theme, and it gets the job done really well.

I’m a preppy, nerdy, dark, metal, emo goth with 236 football jersies, 23 rock ‘n roll wigs and 543 colors of nail polish. So there. I’ve got you all beat in the character department.

I want to be a goth because it expresses how no one understands me like Jack Skellington in the Nightmare Before Christmas. No one understands me because I’m SO deep!

Yeah, Bartek’s just a helping hand. Have you heard the synth mockups Elfman does before the actual recordings? They’re almost exactly the same, and the mockups are all Elfman’s. Elfman COMPOSES and MAKES UP his own music. I’m sure he’d probably “orchestrate” his own music if he had the time, but I’m not sure if “orchestrate” is even the word that should be used to describe Bartek’s position. Basically, he helps with the recording part of the score.

Congrats to your boyfriend! Just make sure to ease his soul before he becomes anti-Elfman. And yes, Ryan, guitarfreak is definitely a female. ;)

“It’s Hard Out Here for a Pimp” from “Hustle & Flow”

Well, that just about sums up what the Oscars mean these days.

I have no idea. I’m eagerly awaiting new news. I think the IMAX feature in which his piece is featured in comes out in February, so hopefully around that time or sooner.
