ParticipantOliver’s grown up quite quick, eh? And a transvestite? ALREADY?
I think people give out award trinkets like candy these days. Although it’s nice to see someone giving a lot of recognition to The Man.

ParticipantComplaints about no theme in Sleepy Hollow? There’s no WAY somebody can be that STUPID! That score has some of the most beautiful themes ever written.

ParticipantTruly inspirational. I wish I could have been there. What an amazing person.

ParticipantStudios are the devil.
Exciting stuff, other than that!

ParticipantHellboy isn’t my cup of tea. Pan’s Labyrinth is. Hopefully they’ll collaborate on something like that in the future.
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantWell, I loved Pan’s Labyrinth, but I’m not a fan of Hellboy at all. Too bad Elfman couldn’t have done something for Labyrinth, instead – or something like it.
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantHellboy 2 was confirmed?

ParticipantI think Batman Returns is the best superhero score from any composer, mainly because it doesn’t SOUND much like a superhero score – it’s a lot more emotional than the standard bombastic music you hear in these kinds of movies.

ParticipantMY EARS!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
Those guys are pretty damn bad.
By the way, here’s the fixed link: Video
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantThat’s pretty disappointing. I want him to score more original material.

ParticipantSounds like SOMEONE’s a fan of John Williams.

ParticipantDon’t you remember Serenada Schizophrana?
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantI would think so. It would be used as a VST instrument, and Cubase accepts VST’s.

ParticipantI wanna’ know which movies he regretted turning down.

ParticipantSpeak for yourself, Monsterhead.
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantIt’s funny, you look pretty much like I expected you to, and that doesn’t happen often.
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantYou’ll have to have a sequencer and a sampler. I use SONAR for my sequencer and Kontakt as my main sampler. Although, there are sample libraries out there that come with their own sampler. Check out the EWQLSO Silver edition at http://www.soundsonline.com
It’s reletively inexpensive, has it’s own sampler, sounds a billion times better than general midi, and will have quite enough to get you going.
Anyway, do some research and find out which programs will fit your needs. Some samplers and sequencers won’t work on Mac’s, some won’t work on PC’s, and some work on both.
Good luck!
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantI knew you’d come around.

ParticipantDakota Fanning “creepy”? Wow, is there something I missed?
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantIt’s too bad people who can ask him questions are always asking extremely redundant ones. The Boingo question has been done to DEATH. Why not ask if there’s a possibility that he’ll do a solo album, or something along those lines, WITHOUT touring?
Although, I think that’s out of the question as well, but not as impossible as a Boingo reunion.
BTW, I think the hearing damage thing might not actually be true. It’s just an easy answer for dumb people who ask him about it over and over again.
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantWhoa! I came here and I thought I went to the wrong place for a split second … because I could READ the font! Hahahahah!

I like the new design. It’s a breath of fresh air!
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantYeah, yeah, stop tryin’ to be all macho. You’re looking forward to watching this movie.
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantHah! That’s a good one.
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantYep. I own the score. By the way, Elfman is a fan of Thomas Newman.
