I don’t know what made me look up James Horner Monday morning, but I went to his website and was reading one of his interviews where he said he likes Danny Elfman’s music, I gained respect for him at that moment, then I went on imdb, and saw he was missing after a plane crash, later finding out he had died
This score was amazing, I got it as soon as it came out on iTunes. If I didn’t know it was scored by Danny, I would have thought it was done by the late Jerry Goldsmith. I give this soundtrack 5 stars
Why, are you people even seeing this movie? Sam isn’t Sam anymore, and having Christopher Young try to do a Danny Elfman is absurb. If Sony really wants Spiderman 4 to be any good, get rid of Sam and hire Tim Burton.
johnmullin, Im so sorry that your wrong, Shirley Walker did conduct Pee Wee’s Big Adventure, and is also listed as additional orchestrations.
There was always more than just Steve Bartek, in Pee Wee Herman’s big adventure, Shirley walker was also an orchestrator.
I brought the soundtrack from itunes, its the best soundtrack elfman has done for a long time. He is the best composer there is in film now, and he is always picked on because he is self taught. That is why I like his music so much, cause he wasn’t trained to copy music, but to incorporate what he has always loved, music from movies of Bernard Hermann, Nino Rota, Jerry Goldsmith, and a few other great composers. The Score is Fantastic. 5 stars
