Thanks for the trailer link. I think perhaps no one really knew that this was a big old action thriller! I wonder what’s with all these “man’s revenge against the system” movies (TAKEN, LAW ABIDING CITIZEN) coming out and what they are reflecting in current culture?
Yeah that’s the kind of reality we live in right now with the BATMAN score. Perhaps some day that will change (and things will improve!).
The policy is still in effect. The last few vids for sure – SIGNS, etc. are not official videos and are copyright infringement. I don’t like YouTube and I don’t want the videos here on the board. Original videos, trailers, etc are welcome. Otherwise, no can do!

That was an actual video – not a music track uploaded to YouTube with a static image (lame). So you’re good to go.

Wow, if you’re going to pick a score to criticize, never pick A SIMPLE PLAN. Simply (ah!) one of his best scores, period. Dramatically rock solid. Inventive and harrowing.
Danny Elfman is apparently not scoring THE GREEN HORNET. Word is that James Newton Howard is stepping in due to scheduling conflicts (Elfman has Van Sant’s RESTLESS and Paul Haggis’ THE NEXT THREE DAYS to score).
Not sure what you mean. “Joker’s Commercial” is not labeled as unused on the CD. It IS noted as unreleased, however.
It probably will not. But the set could contain stuff not on the La-La Land release. It’s really up in the air — and this is all my speculation, so don’t take any of this as anything but!
I had heard it was happening, but it didn’t! I guess we have a few months until Christmas to find out if it’s this year instead
I’m a big fan of MYSTERIOUS ISLAND (the Tribute re-recording is very good, but the sound on the original recording is OK if you’ve gotta stay true). His fantasy album for Phase 4 is also excellent. I’m definitely a fan of his genre work.

BATMAN was my first Elfman score. THE SHADOW was my first Goldsmith CD. I know these two quite well, and I’ve never made a connection.
How about Guillermo del Toro’s HAUNTED MANSION?
