KeymasterHey, that’s what I’ve been saying all along

Well, sort of. That trickle of info was true!

KeymasterYou can get the video on the BATMAN RETURNS special edition DVD recently released.

KeymasterWill it be performed at the Grammy’s by Beyonce?

KeymasterI think there are some genuinely funny parts, but they’re all improvised by Carrey, and truly have nothing to do with the essence of the GRINCH story. The movie truly has no flow and without the bare-bones story, would be a complete mess.
I also thought the Whos were…. Ugly!

KeymasterI don’t think RETURN OF THE KING was self-indulgent. People who followed all three films spent almost nine hours with these characters. I for one did not want to let go!

KeymasterMy favorite Christmas movie: CHRISTMAS VACATION followed closely by SCROOGED.
Make a movie set at Christmas time and it will live forever.

KeymasterObviously meant as tongue in cheek!

KeymasterIt’s also available at iTunes. I downloaded it yesterday, wasn’t blown away by the first listen. Subsequent listens have revealed more of JNH’s ideas, but as a whole the action music isn’t as fully developed, instead resorting to sheer volume.

KeymasterI bought it today and watched the music segment (sorry, don’t have four hours to watch everything just yet!!). Great vintage stuff. Even a glimpse of the scoring session. I wish Elfman and Jackson would have collaborated again on KONG, but oh well, can’t get all my wishes.

KeymasterThat is definitely not Danny Elfman. That’s the catch-all gay actor guy who used to be on ELLEN.

KeymasterIt’s true. I don’t have specific details, but I’ve heard that either a) “Serenada” is being used for the IMAX film or b) both the IMAX film and “Serenada” are being recorded in the same sessions.
As you can see it’s quite frustrating relying on my trickle of information!

KeymasterThat’s great news. Certainly will be in the more “adult”, serious vein of ED WOOD if scripted by the same guys, or it could be assinine like their PROBLEM CHILD movie…

Thanks for the news.

KeymasterMaybe it was internet sarcasm?

Thanks for the link. I watched the other Elfman/Boingo files. Very interesting time capsules.

KeymasterWhat? Danny Elfman wants to score MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE?!?!? I thought Alan Silvestri was scoring it!!!

KeymasterUh, if you’ve seen SPIDER-MAN 2, you’ve seen this already.

KeymasterYou did a good thing. These aren’t here to replace the DVDS… That’s precisely what I don’t want to happen.

KeymasterAre you kidding? FSM was one of Elfman’s biggest proponents in the late ’80s, early ’90s when all those nasty rumours were swirling. They still love him to this day.

KeymasterDespite the fact that I am white and of average height, I don’t listen to black metal.

KeymasterI think it will be a studio recording, specifically geared for a CD release.

KeymasterThe clips are on this site simply because it’s a small fish in a very big pond. Studios are much more concerned with torrent sites, download programs like Grokster, etc. to worry about lo-fi samples on a film composer website.

KeymasterThat wouldn’t be legal.

KeymasterAdditionally, the “Spider-Man Suite” is a piss-poor, fan-made suite used to pad out this set. Minus the suite, there is a little more than 34 minutes of extra music here.
Here are some highlights, because I’m sooo generous…

“City Stinger / Fire / Photographing Spider-Man / The Rescue / Spider Sensations”
Please don’t directly link to this file on other msg. boards, thank you!

KeymasterThis isn’t the complete score. The first wall climbing cue is missing for one.

KeymasterI will consider it — but I think you really should buy the DVDs anyways because the additional extras are well worth it — particularly the doc on BATMAN. Jack Nicholson had me howling!!
