    I LOVED that, man.

I really, really like it, but I think that with no music the scene is much creepier.

Oh my god, I would stab my mother just to hear a live opera rendition of The Wedding Song!

Good luck and get me some tickets!

That was so embarassing I had to stop it halfway through.

The one on the left looks like Deb from Napoleon Dynamite. Side-pony tail and all.

    Ugh.

Though I kind of like Zimmer, especially his comedic scores (like the underrated Something’s Gotta Give), I can already hear those synthed strings from hell he uses ALL the time.

    Yes, let’s move on.

And to do that we’ll congregate and kill a black goat all in the interest of Sam Raimi begging Elfman to come back and Elfman changing his mind and accepting!

Seriously, I just can’t see this film not being scored by Elfman. As some of you have stated above, just imagine the possibilities of Venom and Sandman’s theme.

What a manipulative, heavy-handed film that Crash was.

The worst Oscar winner since The Greatest Show on Earth.

What a trainwreck this show was. At least Jon Stewart was funny.

    Laughable.

    What a joke.

Maybe Danny’s next score should be two guitar strums playing over and over again if he wants to win one of these awards.

Oh, I just LOVED that 12-minute suite you posted last year, D-Bo.

I was just wondering, what kind of software do you guys use for this cut and paste job?

Well, sorry, but this idea sounds anything but cool to me.

Batman is a serious character, and I can’t see a musical with him being anything other than a big pile of cheese. You know, like those Schumacher films.

    Kevin Smith is a hack.

I recently saw again what many consider his “best” film [Clerks] and I just couldn’t stand the “witty” dialogue and those performances that would make anyone from the movie Showgirls look like Oscar contenders.

Burton has more talent in the split ends of his hair that Smith in his entire being.

Nicolas Cage was an AWFUL choice for Superman.

    Thanks!

There’s a couple of posters at the superherohype.com S-M boards that bash Elfman but then go on to praise that horrible, generic music they used for the S-M 2 trailer and say “that’s what the Spidey theme should sound like” or some nonsense like that.

I’d be hilarious if the music for the third film actually ends up sounding like that and they like it.

Ryan, a couple of months ago you posted a clip of a track by them that sounded almost EXACTLY like the Spider-Man Main Titles.

What was the name of it?

Those nominations are a pile of dog shit.

And they just HAD to nominate only three songs and leave Remains of the Day out. UGH. What a friggin joke those song nominations are. I REALLY hope they get Beyonce to sing all of them.

I can’t find it now, but I read a couple of weeks ago a list of all the elegible songs and BBM’s were not there. Apparently, there was a change in the rules this year and only songs that are integral part of the film can be considered for a nomination.

“A Love That Will Never Grow Old”, which was BBM’s best bet was heard only for a few moments in the radio during a scene.

I hadn’t gone to Blunt’s site in quite a while so I didn’t know he had those clips up.

I’m positive he’s still getting nominated at least for Best Song at the Oscars.

That lineup sure is weird. Syriana’s score gave me a headache, and I’m a big Desplat fan.

Ryan, now that you say that, the choir used in both Spider-Man films and Corpse Bride were real?

The Golden Globes nominations are being announced on the 13th and I’m VERY confident Elfman will be nominated for Best Score and Best Song. Unlike the Oscars, the Globes like Elfman. Wait and see.

If you look at the FYCs WB is putting out already, instead of promoting both scores and risking splitting the votes, they are promoting Remains of the Day for Best Song and Charlie for Best Score.

Can you imagine another year with Elfman as a double Oscar nominee? I can!

Oooh, chocothrax, do you think you could fix me up with a couple of tracks?

I’d give you a kidney for them.

I’d give you both kidneys for your album, ryan ;)
