ParticipantHmmmm, I don’t know about that. It depends on taste, I guess, but I think the best overall strings are in the VSL package. Performance is everything to getting a realistic sound.

ParticipantVSL is king, in my opinion. I got very aroused when I found out about the new VSL Symphonic edition. EWQL is good, but not nearly as awesome as VSL and its capabilities.

ParticipantOver my dead body! HAHAHAHahaha hahah … hah … hmm.

ParticipantDidn’t Tchaikovsky use it first in the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy? Great sound, but I try to use it sparingly. More like icing on the cake.
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantWhoo Hoo! Can you post stuff up on the ‘net? I’ve always been curious about your stuff, GuitarFreak.
Mr. Dantz
Participant^ What he said.
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantHah! But you haven’t even heard the score. And he wasn’t rejected from Narnia. What are you talking about?
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantHow the F*CK did Howard Shore get rejected?! That’s what I want to know. F*ckin’ producers.
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantF*ck that!
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantThat really sucks. There were better songs.
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantI love John Williams, and he’s probably 2nd favorite. Yeah, he does get his ass kissed for just about every bloody movie he scores (and many don’t deserve it at all), but he has written some of the most memorable and classic themes I’ve ever heard. The Jurassic Park score was my favorite when I was 7, and it’s still one of my top favorites, rivaling Elfman’s works. The themes are just brilliant.

ParticipantI’ve been waiting for this to happen forever! I can’t wait for it!
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantOh yeah.
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantHm, but you’re the one that called it that.
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantHardly a feud.

ParticipantIn the words of Willy Wonka: “That finale!”
Someone must have had a few spare minutes on their hands.
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantThe thing is like 40 minutes long and with 6 movements. There will probably be 6 tracks.
The thought of a studio recording … Wowza mind-gasm ahoy.
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantBLASPHEMY!
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantI think I’m going to cry with total and complete joy. Please excuse me.
