KeymasterLook for the “Simpson’s Theme” performed by Green Day on iTunes.
I will be adding a page on the soundtrack album once I get a few other things sorted with the site first.

KeymasterI’ve heard the score and it’s pretty fantastic. Shows more respect for Danny Elfman than the SPIDER-MAN 3 situation, and we’re talking the mega-status Hans Zimmer here. He knows that the theme is a major part of THE SIMPSONS make up.

KeymasterWho knows? It’s a piece of paper tacked to a wall!

KeymasterI believe Elfman did his own arrangement of the theme. It was his own composition and not an adaptation. A recording of the theme (with minor sfx) is available on one of the TVT themed compilation albums called SUPERHEROES or something.

KeymasterA 20th Anniversary Edition would be nice. I volunteer to produce it.

KeymasterI love the PIRATES 3 score. In fact it’s my favourite of 2007 so far!

KeymasterSteve Bartek also worked on a handful of Hans Zimmer’s scores in the late 80s early 90s.

KeymasterMight be temp music but good for Danny Elfman. It might just be the most important film that his music has ever been in.

KeymasterPsst… All of the SM3 discussion is in the Elfman/Young SM3 thread.

KeymasterYes, what’s the solution to too many villains in part 3? Use 3 in part 4!….???

KeymasterI think the Elfman and Young material couldn’t sound more different. Sorry, Young’s music doesn’t sound anything like Elfman’s, even when he’s quoting Elfman’s themes, like the bombastic chorale suddenly part of the Green Goblin theme.

KeymasterPart 1 of GRINDHOUSE: ugly women with dialogue written by a man in a trashy bar with the world’s greatest juke box (yeah, right). Part 2: ugly women pretending to eat with dialogue written by a man. Part 1 & 2: uniformly terrible performances, wasting Mary Elizabeth Winstead, wasting Kurt Russell, and a climax tacked, stapled and taped on. This wasn’t a celebration of bad movies, this WAS a bad movie.
For the record I like RES DOGS, PULP FICTION and JACKIE BROWN. QT has run out of steam and goodwill. Time to wake up beatniks, as your leader has stopped banging the bongos and now you’re just grooving without a beat!

KeymasterWell we disagree, because DEATH PROOF was the worst movie I’ve seen this year and I love B-grade schlock as much as the next guy. QT is a total whore too, lending his name to HOSTEL, the biggest POS I’ve seen in a decade and now DEATH PROOF, a pointless exercise in homage that is not much more than an excuse for the circle jerks to get together and paint the floor!
