‘Nuff said.

KeymasterI’m working on a project with the producer of the ballet. His name is Marc Platt, and his company also produced WICKED. He is a total gentlemen, and aware that I am a massive Elfman fan.

KeymasterThe main love theme from DICK TRACY has always reminded me of the “Magical World of Disney” theme, back when the show was broadcast on Sat/Sunday nights.

KeymasterEric this was totally ON topic. Thank you for sharing your music. The song was great (shades of JIMMY CALICUTT) and I really liked your version of the HALLOWEEN theme.

KeymasterThere doesn’t seem that there are any melodic ideas linking the trailer music to PETER PAN though the style sounds very much like James Newton Howard. A mystery!

KeymasterThat site has been in development for years…

KeymasterThere isn’t a site like that. Elfman doesn’t own his music, the studios do.
Check iTunes. CHARLIE is available there.

KeymasterThere may not be info on their site yet, but the director of the Symphony emailed me to tell me that his orchestra had the rights to perform SERENADA. I guess it’s on the docket, but no mention on their site as of yet.

KeymasterI saw the film again yesterday and noticed the main titles were mixed differently. The first appearance of the choir for Tim Burton’s credit was mixed way down. In fact, the choir was mixed down throughout the entire sequence, notably when the robots are wrapping the bars.
I also picked up on the family theme, which I didn’t hear before (it’s that JNH-like string and tinkling piano idea).

KeymasterWow… BATMAN and BATMAN RETURNS… With BATMAN AND ROBIN mixed in for a reminder how the franchise went to hell in a handbasket!
I guess Warners plans to release BATMAN BEGINS in time for Christmas, with the original Batman pix running a little awareness amping program.

KeymasterIt’s “Schizophrana”, not “Schitzophrena”! (which sounds like an irritable bowel problem)

KeymasterThe July 30th chart does not list CHARLIE in the Top 100.

KeymasterHere’s another, from my favorite website in the world, http://www.defamer.com.
“The Danny Elfman music numbers, performed by a chorus of Oopmpa Loompas each time one of the factory-touring brats are “offed,” are worth the overpriced ArcLight ticket all by themselves.”

KeymasterI think he’s confusing this as a remake of WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, not a new movie adaptation of the book CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY. Why would they carryover the insipid songs?

KeymasterYeah, that’s assuming at least 5% of the people on Myspace use their real photos! Ahahaha.
Sorry, those kinds of sites remind me of 1995 all over again.

KeymasterNo problem. Myspace is interesting. They suck gigabytes of data transfer from Cinemusic.net each month with people hotlinking to files on their profiles.

That’s like Earl Dittman of Wireless Magazine!
