That’s pretty awesome! I’ve only seen SIGNS once and I liked it… I have THE VILLAGE and LADY IN THE WATER but not this… it sounds awesome… but you’re not trying to convince me so I’ll go away….

I’d like to say I’m sad but I couldn’t be happier… I think the movie doesn’t look that great at all…

I am so excited for BATMAN RETURNS! I prefer that score a little over the original! I just hope they include the track where “FACE TO FACE” goes into the orchestral bit when there’s the identity revelation during the Schrek party! That’s one of my favorite parts of the movie because of it! Love that music!

I don’t agree with THOR. VERTIGO is one of the greatest scores of all time! It’s better appreciated when you know and love the film. But it’s a great score! It’s definitely a must have Herrmann! TAXI DRIVER is pretty good too although I’m not a big fan of the film. You should always see the films if you can. It’s worth it!

Agreed! I find myself listening to RETURNS way more than the Original! Although I like them both… I can’t wait to get this one though! I want some of that New and Improved JOKER PRODUCTS! Awesome!

I don’t think that’s totally true Decent! The trailer has proved to sometimes be nothing like the film.. If you go back and watch trailers for many films you’ve seen, they’re sometimes totally different. Lets have some hope…

See, that’s my basic opinion on Avatar! I like it but it doesn’t do much for me. It’s just my opinion though.. I’m not gonna critique Horner’s music.

Horner’s score was good. Nothing special but still enjoyable. I would take Menken’s score to Pocahontas over it anyday! Especially that finale! Awesome ending!

I liked the Music for that trailer. The Big Bass pedal tone droning was really awesome! Not the most original piece when it comes to chord structure but still really awesome.

I would hardly call Pocahontas with blue people(and a worse score than Alan Menken’s) ORIGINAL!

Just a quick question Ryan… What’s your beef with AICN? As an Austinite I would like to know. Just wondering… ps. I don’t read it, it was just a question..

WOW! Sweeney is one of Elfman’s favorite Burton films? That is so weird. It’s not even near the top of my list of favorite Burton, but that is still pretty interesting. Daniel Schweiger always gives a good interview. Thanks for posting!

Well.. that kind of happened for PLANET OF THE APES.. .one track is listed “Preparing for Battle” when in fact that is the track where both sides are charging at one another. Danny doesn’t pick the titles of the tracks, I don’t think. Pretty sure that job belongs to someone else. But I could be wrong.

Dude.. just listened to Alice’s theme all the way through.. it’s at 120 beats per minute… I watched it with a clock and i got all giddy for some reason.. I get entertained easily… obviously! But its fun! Try it!

Yeah.. The movie wasn’t great. I enjoyed parts of it… and there were parts that scared the shit out of me.. I had to close my ears at one part… But in the end it was pretty cheesy. The acting at the end sucked.. and I got tired of how fake the whole thing got.

And of course everyone is right. The music was all over the place.

I would see it just to see where the music goes… and if you do see it, look for a part near the end where it says “10 Miles” to the village. It was pretty funny to see a Mile Marker in England.

Dude… Seriously that would be sweet! I would love to see what Danny would do with Captain America Material!

On the other hand, Wolfman has been getting some good reviews.. this movie might actually be good… Lets just hope!

sounds like a track list for a musical on broadway. When does Danny finish up with Houdini?

Well maybe the songs would have been better if they had original lyrics from Danny in them. Danny used Roald Dahl’s original book lyrics. I dunno. Just a theory!

I second that! I re-watched CHARLIE a week or so ago, and knowing the music very well, the score was terrific. I think you should sit down, Decent, and watch it again.

No. Sadly. I watched it, and being a big Simpsons fan, it was really cool to see. But, there was no mention of the theme, or music in general. It was still cool for us Americans! Sorry foreigners!
