I thought is was very cool seeing those guys up there again… Although I loved hearing Minnie the Moocher, Better Luck Next Time, Forbidden Zone, and Pain played live… I have to say my favorite part of the show was at the end when everyone left the stage except for Vatos, Avila, Bartek, and Sluggo who did an unplugged version of Dead Mans Party.
And Vatos still looks great in a dress.
I heard that John Williams sometimes has his son write some of his stuff also. I am not saying it’s true… I just heard it.
Oh come on, you don’t have to feel odd going alone. If you remember what Oingo Boingo concerts were like everybody passing their beer and other things to perfect strangers, but all part of the Oingo Boingo family. I wonder if they will invite the new Pope?

The way I see it, its a win win situation. Cause if I didn’t go and he shows up I would have to kill myself. This way even if he doesn’t show up, to hear OINGO BOINGO music be played by the only group of musicians that can play OINGO BOINGO music will be Good For My Soul.
There was a pretty mixed batch at the showing I went to. The was one child like six or seven that kept repeating to their guardian(and I say guardian because to be called a parent requires you to do at least some parenting) everything that was happening on the screen. And that wasn’t the most annoying thing about the showing. The annoying thing was the projector almost stopped about 5 times and every time that happened I was suddenly transported back to 7th grade science as if we were watching a film strip on how to read the table of elements.
I am trying to find the article, but, I am paraphrasing… He said something to the effect of… He and some of the other members began to feel like they were just hired help.
I have often thought about going to see “Dead Man’s Party”, but something in my inner being keeps telling me no.
If they were to reunite it would have to be on Halloween and it would have to be at Irvine Meadows Ampitheater. Although I am not holding out hope that it will ever happen.
Plus the fact I am not sure who outside of Bartek and Avila would be willing. Especially after the last comment I heard Vatos make.
Immediate Music is a company that takes popular scores, themes, music, etc. and slightly changes orchestrations, arrangements, or notes for use on trailers and tv spots for production company that don’t want to pay or can’t afford to pay for the real songs.
