Good stuff, Mister Dantz.
Nin_CherryParticipantHappy April Fool’s!
Nin_CherryParticipantI would never say “go f#@% yourself” to Sam Raimi, no matter what.
Nin_CherryParticipantyou guys are too funny.
Nin_CherryParticipantyou’re too smart for me.
Nin_CherryParticipantWait a sec – Danny Elfman wrote the Simpsons theme???
Nin_CherryParticipantplease make eggs!!!! thanx
Nin_CherryParticipantIf Ryan says “That’s about all I know”, I guess that’s probably all he knows about it, you doofus. Jeeeeez.
Nin_CherryParticipant1990: “Edward Scissorhands” comes out. At the same time, “Men at Work”, a surprisingly unfunny comedy directed by Emilio Estevez (starring Carlie Sheen and Estevez himself), hits movie theaters. Estevez and Sheen both also starred in “Wisdom” (1986), scored my no other than Danny Elfman. The movie had Tom Skerritt and Veronica Cartwright in it’s cast too – and both actors have already starred in “Alien” (1979) together! Coincidence? I think not.
Nin_CherryParticipantBut then, you are still a work in progress, right?
Nin_CherryParticipantWhere did you read that?
(There’s a lot that can be achieved by the placement of the musicians btw, no need to be sarcastic.)Nin_CherryParticipantGood title.
Nin_CherryParticipantOr Jim Jarmusch.
Nin_CherryParticipant>I don’t know any other director that could make you enjoy offbeat charaters and stoeies.
Ever heard of John Waters?
Nin_CherryParticipantI guess what you really meant was qurikness.
Nin_CherryParticipantLow piano strings, plucked hard with one hand and then beaten with a hard timpani stick, raising and lowering sustain pedal. It will give you that resonating sound.
Nin_CherryParticipantThat’s quite possible the most pathetic thing I’ve ever heard.
Nin_CherryParticipantI didn’t say I didn’t like the score.
Nin_CherryParticipantStealing ideas from Goldenthal who took over Batman, refusing to use Danny’s powerful theme? Sounds weird.
Nin_CherryParticipantHa.
Nin_CherryParticipantRight.
Nin_CherryParticipantDepends what you call emo. If it’s bands like Evanescence who do this pseudo-gothic nu-metal stuff for the masses but still believe they’re new and original, then it sucks. “Oh my god, I’m so goth”, I hate that crap. They are as real and gothic as Avril Lavigne is punk. However, there is some good music out there which I would call “emo”, like Nada Surf or Fugazi.
Nin_CherryParticipantYou are strictly film score, right?
Nin_CherryParticipantIt was Anne Dudley who scored that movie, not a guy.
Nin_CherryParticipantNo.
