I asked the same thing, but at least it was answered! I didn’t like the format of that chat, it felt broken and unorganized.

OK, so who got their question answered? The whole chat seemed screwed up on MSN’s part, and he didn’t field too many questions, mine included. Still good of him to take part.

Compare that to “Venom” making just about the same in 100 times as many theaters. Ha!

Sure, aging people gain weight, but…he wasn’t that big when promoting “Charlie!” That was only two months ago!

Damon: “OK, drop me a line right now.”
    Affleck: “OK.” (farts)
Damon: “That was just you farting.”
Affleck: “You got any more pot?”

This is paraphrased, but it gets the message across. Family Guy rules! Oh, and the direct-to-DVD movie “Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story” features a Ron Jones score that gets Elfmanesque at certain parts, but still has that jazzy style that makes Family Guy quality programming.

Very Edward Scissorhands-y. It’s a great blend of Danny’s old and new styles. Not my favorite of his recent scores, but still very good. “Moon Dance” is a gorgeous track that brings thoughts of “Ice Dance.” Glad to hear he’s never giving up on generously adding chorus, that’s something he’s amazing at doing. I was hoping for a bit stronger of a finale, but it was beautiful nonetheless. I may have to wait two weeks to see the movie, but I’m sure that the score will compliment it very well. At least Ryan knows now, and some Californians, New Yorkers, and Torontoians…too.

Sweet! Unless I’m mistaken, this is the first time he’s done this since 1997 with AOL and Men in Black. This is one of those times where I hope that there’s less fans other than the board occupants so that we get to ask all the good questions! I’ve got dibs on asking for his thoughts on additional acting/voicing forays!

Nice sleuthing, Edward Bloom! We already know that Raimi was so attached to the “Hellraiser 2” score that he went as far as hiring Chris Young to adapt his own work because it couldn’t be licensed. I actually frown upon Young for going along with it. But trying to steal from John Williams, come on! You’ve got Danny “Hollywood’s hottest composer” Elfman working on your film, which happens to be one of the most expensive in history, and you want to license music from another film? Shame on Sam Raimi! Shame on him!

Hooray! Funny that he won for this and not for the Simpsons. Anyone check out that Reefer Madness won as well? That movie was very trippy. After all, that’s what the movie was about.

That’s so disappointing to hear. I guess Raimi actually “sold out” and Danny wasn’t going to put up with it. I seem to recall the DVD making-of feature having Raimi say that he had no idea how he was going to finish the movie. Plus Spider-Man 2, although an excellent movie that still esxceeds beyond most ogher superhero films, did seem kinda schlockily put together. By all means, good for Danny for walking out when he was treated so poorly, but I’m still terribly disappointed that he’s not scoring the third. They were such a great collaboration. And now i’ve lost respect for one of my favorite fiolmmakers. The whole thing’s a damn shame, so let’s blame it on Sony.

Didn’t anyone but me notice when they played “The Breakfast Machine” in a recent Family Guy episode? I have the American Dad episode on TiVo, I’ll see tomorrow.

Good lord, what’s happened to Tim Burton? He’s looking like he ate a colorless piece of Wonka’s chewing gum meal! Seriously, is he okay?

I think the piano solo is somewhere on the Flash site. If it’s what I think it is, it’s very reminiscent of “Moonlight Sonata.”

Danny’s an awesome scat-er! I mean, he’s got skills! I haven’t heard mean scatting like that since Will Ferrell went against Lou Rawls on the unrated Anchorman commentary! For those who own it, give it a listen…it’s pretty intense.

They had a commercial today featuring the tune from “Remains of the Day,” and it even had a short bit of Bonejangles’ dialogue. It made me very excited! It’s nice that the jazzy side of the underworld is being, dare I say, resurrected? Ironic that it’s New Orleans-styled…

It’s times like this that I hate that my mom’s afraid of making online purchases. Maybe she’ll make an exception…this is an outstanding offer!

UPDATE: OK, got approval for the CD. But just to make sure, Ryan, do you think it’s a real autograph or a stamped one?

Oh, is THIS a Tim Burton film! Brilliant stuff. The stop-motion looks great. Also I was expecting an Ichabod Crane voice out of Johnny Depp, but he seems to have come up with yet another British voice! The movie can’t come out soon enough, especially now that I’ve become immersed in a “Sleepy Hollow” craving.

Much nicer with the real orchestra. I just hope the voices don’t get too drowned in the movie, because they’re kinda hard to hear. Then again, that just might be a quality of the inhabitants of in the Underworld. As for “According to Plan,” does it sound a bit broadway-like, which he said he hated? Can’t wait for the score to be added. Very nice of WB to be so generous like this.
