ParticipantNominated for Best Score at the Saturn Awards, Elfman’s first nomination since Charlie.

ParticipantMust not be for all countries then.
The score sounds exactly how all of you are expecting. The Wizard’s theme is cool and gets a big performance in the main titles, the theme for the Wicked Witch is nice if familiar for Elfman.

ParticipantIf you go through this to get at a new trailer. http://www.findyourwaytooz.com/ You can just click on the balloon to get right to the trailer.
After the trailer they play a loop from Elfman’s score. It’s a lovely, quiet piece, that sounds kinda like the quieter stuff from Shore’s LOTR.

ParticipantIf the fact that no album has been announced for Oz yet makes you think that it might be coming from LLL it’s worth noting that there are some last minute pick-up sessions happening right now which might explain the delay.
ddddeeee
ParticipantYes in Europe. Will be released on the 15th of April.

ParticipantSeems like the last movie Elfman would be interested in.

ParticipantGiven the Silver Linings showing, it’s safe to say he could have got in had there been more score.
On a happier note, Burton got another nomination for Frankenweenie!

ParticipantElfman gets a feature on the Blu-Ray release.

ParticipantNow on iTunes.

ParticipantSomeone at LLL (that MV guy?) said in an interview there’d be no more Burton scores because of the box set. Batman Returns and Apes were already well underway when that set came out.

ParticipantElfman’s listed on the FYC site. So is it safe to assume he wrote a fair bit of music?

ParticipantShame about the album situation but at least we’re getting something. Sounds great too, something different.
