Descent Into Mystery
ParticipantWas this ever released?
Descent Into Mystery
ParticipantIt’s not the most original Elfman score, but it works for the film. That being said, I got a kick out of The Munchkin Song. I’m always thrilled when Elfman does a song for a movie.
Descent Into Mystery
ParticipantI’m thrilled that Elfman and Raimi ended their feud. I hope the score is awesome!
Descent Into Mystery
ParticipantI loved the score. Elfman recycles a lot of material but he does a great job of giving it a lot of new variations. I really loved the use of the electric guitar.
Descent Into Mystery
ParticipantThe movie was okay. It could have been better. But the score was pretty good.
Descent Into Mystery
ParticipantI liked JNH’s score.

ParticipantCongrats to Danny.

ParticipantFacebook is essential. Tumblr, since it’s a blog, could help with your mini-reviews. And, YouTube rarely deletes videos these days. They just put an ad on it and make money from it. But if your video is entirely original and popular, they’re pay YOU to place advertisement. Consider that.

Descent Into Mystery
ParticipantRecently, I read that Danny was still working on the Dark Shadows score. I guess he must be multi-tasking.

ParticipantA wordpress site sounds like a good idea as long as the forums remain open. But in the meantime, consider the following:
– Set-up a Facebook fan page
– Get a Twitter account just for the site.
– Launch a YouTube channel
– Open a Tumblr blog
– Email all the members and keep them updated on the site’s progress.Descent Into Mystery
ParticipantThe first thing you should do is make sure everyone is aware of the new domain. If it wasn’t for your Twitter account, I never would have found this place. Secondly, since you usually get advance copies of Danny’s new albums, make video reviews for YouTube and post them on Facebook and Twitter and include links to the site. If that doesn’t work, consider expanding the site to include other composers. This place is, more or less, dead when there isn’t news on Danny and his movies.

ParticipantMichael Giacchino’s score for “Mission: Impossible 4” is amazing. The best the franchise has had since Elfman’s original in 1996.
Descent Into Mystery
ParticipantThe sad thing is that when it comes to music, the Oscars get lazy and usually only nominate those scores associated with the awards-friendly films. So, as far as nominations are concerned, I’m thinking John Williams for “War Horse”, Howard Shore for “Hugo”, and Harry Escot for “Shame”. As for the remaining two spots, I’m not sure yet. I’m still waiting for Trent Reznor’s score to “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.” And, if I recall correctly, didn’t Hans Zimmer get nominated for Sherlock Holmes two years ago? So, who knows, maybe he’ll pull off another nomination.

Participant“The Muppets” soundtrack is amazing. “Life’s a Happy Song” and “Man or Muppet” are locks for Oscar nominations.
Descent Into Mystery
ParticipantI think “Spider-Man 2” and “Alice in Wonderland” were in the same ballpark.
Descent Into Mystery
ParticipantI would love to hear that “turn off your cellphone” song.
Descent Into Mystery
ParticipantYeah. It was a good special.
Descent Into Mystery
Participant20 bucks? Wow. For once, these people have a resonable price.
Descent Into Mystery
ParticipantFinally, an Elfman trilogy.
Descent Into Mystery
ParticipantThe trailer looks good and it seems like Elfman has a lot to play with.
Descent Into Mystery
ParticipantFinally.
Descent Into Mystery
ParticipantThe score album is available on iTunes.
