So Elfman will be back in some way, eh? Awwwwwww, what a softie. Hardy-har. Must’ve been a looooot o’ dough they bribed him with.
Honestly, I really don’t care at all that he isn’t attached to this project. In fact, I’m happy for him. Spiderman isn’t that great, anyway. And Raimi is becoming somewhat of a hack (or has he become one already?).
So where’s the link to what he has to say about each of the tunez?

What’s with the title of the topic? I highly doubt Nacho is Elfman’s best CD since it’s only got one track with his stuff on it. ???
Is he really? For some reason, I got the impression he was just an overly arrogant hack who took all credit for things he didn’t do. Must be those nasty rumors again.
The music part when the horseman is chopping into the ground to get the kid has got to be one of the most blood curdling and horrifying parts of any film score to date. Those brass stabs and that weird percussion thing … I would almost rank it as high as the string eeks of psycho. Brilliant stuff.
Cool project. Reminds me of a project I had to do, and I had a freaking blast with it. What I did was rip a part of a DVD from the old silent masterpiece Metropolis. You can’t go wrong with that! I would also recommend Nosferatu.
We’re rapidly entering a film-music world full of 100% temp track copies, and even the composers don’t care. How exciting! Why can’t more composers be like Elfman?
HAHA! That certainly is entertaining. I also like Fairy Tales and Pizza: Reminds me of Ween’s style. Have you ever hear Ween? You should give the band a listen, as I think you would enjoy them emensely.

The cover isn’t as cool as I’d like it to be, but it’s the music that counts, anyway.
If there were better Elfman discussion boards, I’d go there instead. But, as far as I know, there aren’t. Everything’s still great, as far as I’m concerned.
One thing I’m wondering is, though. If that’s the case, what’s up with Hess’s comments here:
“He’s amazing, man; yeah, I feel very fortunate to be able to party with Danny. He just did an amazing job; his music has always kind of like a weird streak to it, which I really like, and he just seemed like the right guy. And I was really lucky that he was able to come on board.”
Those goddamn evil producers. I can understand him not wanting Elfman’s work there when it should have been Beck’s. I’ll just have to listen to the score and make my own judgements. I’m sure both will be great.
