Should I be allowed to post this image on this board? This is the kind of artistic question that this image asks to the viewers from our modern-day society. Some other artistic questions that could be answered is: What is this man really doing? Is it an illusion or an allusion? Or is he simply using an abstract method of evoking happiness, pleasure, or fun to awaken and pep an otherwise drowsy audience?
You mean what would I do with a project like this? I wouldn’t do anything. I think the whole idea is just wrong and stupid.
I’ve always considered the Batman Returns score to be far superior to the first Batman score. There’s something more emotional about the themes, and they’re more developed.
I can’t say I have favorites. It always depends on my mood. I do have a thing for Planet of the Apes and Dolores Claiborne, though.
Elfman does read. Bartek (his orchestrator) writes/transposes to save time.
And there’s a concert playing of Serenada Schizophrena by Elfman on Sunday in California. I don’t know if you’ve heard of it, but look it up. There’s plenty of info here.
I think everyone should stop bashing Monster for his opinions that he expresses. They’re way different than most everyone, but he does have a right to express them just as much you have a right to express yours … however wrong they may be.
And I haven’t seen the movie or heard the score, so unfortunately I can’t comment for that, but I will say CATCF is a hell of a score.
Do us all a favor and bring a recorder of some sort! Please?! I’ve got a “recording”, but the quality is so bad I can barely make out what is actually going on.
That’s how it seemed to me; total jerk around. I would give my left nut to have a real conversation with Danny, but I really don’t think that will ever happen, unfortunately.

I do believe that Serenada is going to be recorded somewhere. I think I read that somewhere.
