Does it really matter? If Danny doesn’t know how to write for harp by now, who does? Hell, he probably HAS one of his own! It’s possible he’s being sarcastic, anyway. That’s how I took it. It’s some pretty funny commentary.

(One week later, it’s rockin’, it’s posted, and it’s wreaking sweet havoc across the nation.)I wonder if Bartek had any guitar parts? It certainly sounds like it in certain spots. It does sound Boingo-like, but (as you said), with a more contemporary feel to it – kind of like something you might hear on the next album after “Boingo”, since that’s the direction they were headed into after they stopped.

It’s not blowing my socks off, but I wasn’t expecting much. The movie looks kind of retarded if you ask me.
I agree. It’s definitely not the best Batman theme I’ve ever heard, if you know what I mean. Didn’t Elfman score a Batman movie or two some years ago? From what I recall, those sounded pretty good.
Hopefully we won’t have to wait eons for a CD release of this work. I’m ecstatic about this project.
A lot of “stealing” is most likely unconscious. If you hear something enough, it’ll creep into your own compositions in one way or another, without you even knowing about it.
Shostakovich was, indeed, one of the greats. I don’t think that is his best work, though. He did a lot of “busy” stuff that I’m not real fond of. But some of his melodies are amazing.
You really think any of them give a rat’s turd if they win a rinky-dink little prize that means absolutely NOTHING in comparison to what they’ve already accomplished? Think about it. These days, people like “eminem” are being nominated.
Sounds like Boingo was an inspiration, but the band definitely isn’t as tight … actually kind of sloppy in comparison. Hahahahaha, wow the lead singer’s REALLY trying to sound like Elfman, isn’t he? Hahahaha!! Not bad, I guess.
