The other thing Green Hornet has that peaks my interest is MIchael Gondry directing it. I know all his movie have been hit or miss, but he’s a really creative, visual filmmaker with a great sense of humor, so i’m curious to see what he comes up with. Not to mention Christoph Waltz as the bad guy. Well, we’ll just have to wait and see.

Wow, tell us how you really feel about it, Ryan. It’s okay, I know you and Mullin hated it. But I liked it, if that matters. Who’s with me? (holds up high five) Really? No one? Fine, F you too! ;)

Well, as discussed earlier it is NOT Elfman but a library track called ‘Midnight Waltz’ by Brand X. We’ll still have to wait a month and a half until we hear Elfman’s score.

That’s dumb as hell. I mean, isn’t Danny still recording it as we speak, or at least JUST finished it?

So, it looks like ol’ Wolfie can’t catch a break. Looks like The Wolf Man has been moved again to FEB 2010. This movie must really suck. Well, at least we know the score will be good.

I really like the look of Tweedledee and Tweedledum. And I also like to see Johnny Depp channeling Gene Wilder’s Willy Wonka and Madonna. (Ba Dum Bum)

Oh please know, I was ONLY joking about the movie (even though I did watch it all the frickin’ time, but I’m crazy like that) I LOVE LOVE LOVE the score, and wish it was released, 2 tracks on MFADT Vol. 1 is NOT enough.

And for the record ‘Hot to Trot’ starred Bobcat Goldthwait, a bucktoothed Dabney Coleman, and John Candy. How dare he forget that movie! (that movie deserved an Oscar nomination too—not to mention a full score release.)

So, I saw the film last night and had a fairly good time with it. The action scenes are great, and there where some really fun sections, but all in all I thought it was Ter’meh’nator. I regards to the score, I don’t know if it was the film mix or the theater’s sound system (even though it was at the Mann’s Chinese in Hollywood, which as always awesome) but I could barely hear Danny’s music. Especially in Harvester Returns (which is one of my favorite pieces) it was completely drowned out by sound effects. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I get it…people wanna hear those fancy robutts buzz and whir (the sound design was great) but this is the prime example movie in which I know Danny gets furious scoring cause all his hard work goes unnoticed. But near the end, the score volume got turned up and it was great. Actually some great music that wasn’t on the album….hopefully there will be a score only track when it’s released on Blu-Ray. And yes, Feidel’s T2 percussion theme did show up, tacked onto the opening credits, an a couple times near the end.
