Mr. Dantz
ParticipantLooks like a good movie. The score should be interesting.
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantLOL! Obviously you didn’t get the news a while back. Nicholson is a good choice, but I think Elfman is even better!
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantThat second video … It’s definitely not Elfman.
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantAwesome news. And Anthony Hopkins is in this? Color me tickled!
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantThat was a great performance. There are periods where I am reminded just how brilliant Elfman really is.
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantThe one with Indiana Jones made me LOL!
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantYeah, sounds like the video game will have all the “musical baggage” of the two Burton films. Sheesh!
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantIn my opinion, they need to quit BUTCHERING a classic! If I ever have to hear that intolerable, boyish, whiny version of Jack’s Lament, I’ll KILL something! And didn’t Marilyn Manson already do that song? EESH!
However, Fiona Apple’s contribution to the last one was quite nice. Maybe if they got some listenable talents doing this, I wouldn’t mind.
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantWell, considering the lead role isn’t someone he’s worked with in the past (as far as I know), I don’t see what all the complaining is about. I think the movie sounds freaking awesome, and I can’t wait to see it. I can’t think of a better director to cover this story other than Terry Gilliam. Can you imagine the Elfman score?! It’s right up his alley, and I’ve ALWAYS wanted to hear what he could do with a story like this.
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantIsn’t most of that stuff just taken from Wikipedia?
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantLookin’ for babes.
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantShe’s a babe.
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantAll the major sequencers (Sonar, Logic, Digital Performer, etc.) have the option to score to video. As for which is better, it’s all just a matter of preference. Elfman uses Digital Performer. I use Sonar. Although, I rarely score anything, as I’m more of just a recording artist. But the option is there whenever I need it.
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantOh, God. I’m so envious. Why can’t I hang and get drunk with Danny in a haunted hotel? It’s just not FAIR, I tell you! Not fair!
Pretty comical story, though. Made me “LOL”! Thanks for sharing!

Mr. Dantz
ParticipantActually, I was only half joking. I’m not in love with everything Elfman’s done, either. But I have to disagree with Red Dragon. I wasn’t fond of it at first, but after a while I really fell in love with it.
I haven’t heard Hellboy yet, so I can’t comment on that.
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantDon’t diss Red Dragon ’round here, man. You’ll wish you hadn’t.
And when did music become a science?
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantOh, man. That is brilliant.
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantI don’t know, I haven’t seen it yet … But I’m really looking forward to seeing “Dark Knight”. It’ll be so interesting to see Ledger play as the joker! Anyone else excited to see the new batman movie!? I wonder how the score sounds!

Mr. Dantz
ParticipantI wonder if by “big” he means “busy”. The score clips sound pretty big and full to me!
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantThat really sucks. I can’t imagine an Elfman score being so bad that they would have to replace “a lot” of it. That’s ridiculous.
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantThe first track sounds like POTA revisited, almost literally. The second one does sound pretty cool. But I never would have guessed it was Elfman if I didn’t know better.
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantThat editor is just about useless!

ParticipantOh, man. I gotta’ get my hands on that. Elfman speaks Russian? No shit?
Mr. Dantz
ParticipantI just can’t get over that bitchin’ song.
