ParticipantSuperman VS Batman?!

ParticipantI’m not a huge fan of The Next Three Days, but I really enjoy Danny’s music here and will continue to re-visit it I’m sure. You can officially call me me a fan of this score, though I’ll probably be skipping the movie (and novel) itself.

ParticipantBig Top Pee Wee is currently on sale for 14.99. Regular price is 19.99. So now is a good time to get it! Can’t wait to listen to this score without all of the dialogue clips…!

ParticipantThe whole thing is just weird. I wonder if the nostalgia for this movie is even being perpetuated by those who saw it the first time around?

ParticipantThis is a new concert for 2014? I can’t find a link on the KROQ site to listen to the interview.

ParticipantThe film will be released on Christmas Day this year:

ParticipantWell, maybe he’s trying to forget that he made it – ha!

ParticipantSounds great, but Morris has in fact directed a narrative feature in the past.

ParticipantOCCULUS was a snooze inducer. Funny, I saw Mali Elfman in a hotel lobby the day before I saw OCCULUS at SXSW.

ParticipantThe cover art is online now too

ParticipantVery nice. Hard to get the full impact without seeing the film, but I’m sure I’ll love the whole thing when I see/hear it.
Monsterhead
ParticipantNice! Sure hope to get a score released in the near future.
Monsterhead
ParticipantThat does not seem possible, but who am I to say?

ParticipantTickets sold out and they added another show for 10/29.
Monsterhead
ParticipantIt directly states in the article that the tickets go on sale Sept. 13th and the concert is Oct 31st in downtown LA at the Nokia Theater.

ParticipantExcellent news! Where’s the “like” option when you need one?

ParticipantNow THIS could be interesting. Van Sant is a frontrunner to direct 50 Shades of Grey…

ParticipantHighly unlikely

ParticipantSounds like just the kind of film he needs to make. I can’t wait.

ParticipantDRAG ME TO HELL had a great score.

ParticipantPersonally, I’d love to see him work again with Sacha Gervasi. HITCHCOCK was a good first movie and they seemed to enjoy working together. Elfman came out to AFI Fest for the premiere and seemed to love writing that score, even though he was slammed.

ParticipantI’ve been listening to the soundtrack tonight. It’s pretty great. I love the main titles. About half-way through, it turns into a marvelous off-kilter calliope waltz that reminds me of some of the Burton MoMA music. This works really well on it’s own and I’m a bit more curious to see the film itself after listening.
The Witch’s Waltz Theme is one of the best Elfman compositions in a long while and it’s featured throughout the score.

ParticipantHow about RESTLESS?! Still never saw the movie or heard the music.
Monsterhead
ParticipantThe music that is currently streaming on Focus Features is the same as the FYC Promo that is floating around. I’m really warming up to this music. This was a nice year for Elfman fans, but I feel like I’ve been saying that every year…
